http://www.sanger.ac.uk/Projects/C_elegans/

The Sanger Institute and the Genome Sequencing Center at the Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis have collaborated to sequence the genomes of both C. elegans and C. briggsae. An essentially complete C. elegans sequence was published in Science in December 1998 and the last remaining gap in the sequence was finished in October 2002.
A C. briggsae whole-genome shotgun assembly was made available in July 2002.
